Mamoth Cave

Thinking about going up to Mamoth cave and taking a tour with the wife when we do the "Bowling Green" trip. Anyone been and have any advice or stories. How long is the tour (there is a guided tour right?). Since wife is going with me the least I can do is take a few hours and do something non car related

I live about 40 min from there. They have long and shorter tours. I think it's worth seeing but who am I?:biggrin:

Have visited maybe 3 or 4 times, but it was years ago. Remember something like "Fat mans misery" that is not the place to be if you are claustrophobic

Any body have any idea on prices etc for the tours. Do they have a website to check out? Any good hotels up that way or inbetween there and BG?

Take the short tour, the long one is TOOOO long. But then again, Im a smoker and they didnt stop long enough to get my fix. If you stay in the camp ground, and feel like having a fire, go outside the park, plenty of people have fire wood cheep.

It's around 30 miles
