well, sound like my solenoid is going out. about every 5th time i try to start it does absolutly nothing. get underneath the car and hit the starter with whatever happens to be handy and it will start right up. i have heard from someone that you can replace the factory starter with an lt1 starter. i did a quick search and didnt really see any clear answers.im sure this starter would have to be lighter than the original.

my question is if i can use an lt-1 starter on my buick. if so, whisch years will fit (im thinking all of em are the same)

thanks

1993-1996 camaro, firebird, impala ss, roadmaster, fleetwood all have the lt1 engie it it. and then go to the dealer and get the starter bolts for the lt1 starter as they are shorter than the factory buick starter bolts. look to spend 150 for the starter and 20 for the bolts.
