My alternator starting making bad noises, I bought an LT1 alternator for a 94-96 Impala. It is rated at 140 amps. The body is slightly bigger so I had to grind a little from the tensioner bracket. Also, you don't have a bolt hole for the rear bracket, but I don't feel it is necessary. The bracket coming from the A/C is very stout.
