LS1 front brakes???

i did a step by step thread about putting LS1 front brakes on my 86 Camaro this spring, which would be almost exactly the same as doing it on a G body..

there are some dead pic links for some reason- one of the hazards of hosting pics on facebook, i guess...

here's a link to the album on facebook with all the pics:

Can't you also use the 2nd gen 2wd blazer hubs? They have sealed bearing hubs for floating rotors. I thought the C5 vette rotors fit right up and all you need is the bracket for the calipers. This way the wheel does not get offset. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Unfortunately you can't fit the 12" rotors on the Blazer knuckles easily. FlyNbye (Ed) did a few of them but they were such a PITA that he's stopped doing it. I'm looking at using a little different method than the F body or vette calipers and it should be much less expensive. It would give you a couple of options on the caliper and should be able to make the bracket at home.;)

15" Monte SS aluminum wheels fit with a tiny bit of material removed from the fins on the calipers.
