If this belongs in the lounge, please move and my apologies.
With the theft rate, I'm thinking this might be of interested to all TR owners.

What are you guys using for alarm sirens??
Had my python system torn out when the remote died.
Just now getting around to installing all new car security.
Have everything figured/planned but the siren...

The typical car alarm siren doesn't get a glance,
what can be hooked up with a viper, or whatever common alarm system,
in place of the usual car alarm that attracts zero attention?

Air raid siren? Emergency siren? Tornado siren?
Something that blasts away at 150 or 200db...?

Want something that can be heard from blocks away,
something that WILL command attention unlike the usual car alarm sound,
and something that will truly shock the thief and leave them with permanent hearing damage.....

What are the options for siren sound/amp/speaker??

THAT would be hilarious. Not a bad idea.
I don't know jack **** about car alarms, but my brother told me some disturbing things from his work. He's a master mechanic at a local shop, and he says that customers forget to leave the alarm fob with him all the time, when they drop their cars off, and over the years, he's found ways to get around most alarms, so that he can start the work.
I won't detail what he told me, but I'm hoping to convey to you, that you should ensure, that you have it wired, so that your siren has it's own power source, and NONE of the wires that allow it to be powered, are exposed on the bottom of your engine, or anywhere else for that matter.
