Looking for Info on Mease Performance

a couple of years ago i won an sheetmetal upper plenum off ebay from MPE, long story short i had to pick the part up (about an hour drive) he wasnt there, and when he showed up the plenum wasnt done, but i waited and even had him weld my header and external wastegate to downpipe. I still own him $100, But i guess i was one who finally screwed him over. I figuered i should be paid for shipping and handling:smile:

So who's going to sit on his place or do some leg work.. Title in hand when he is there should be enough.. If not, non emergency police phone call.. It's your property.. Trailer is an hour away.. Not a problem.. But call the locals first.. They will be glad to go there AGAIN.. Lawyers take too long.. He wont answer the mailman either..

I agree, call his local police, title in hand, show up with a truck and trailer and wait, It is your car, The police will help. As far as im concerned its stolen property, im certain the police will agree!

Liz, "BetMinesFaster"s idea is not bad...As long as you have the car's title in hand and the police to escort you when going there, you should be able to recover the car. If this does not work, THEN take legal action...Anyways, keep me posted...
Thanks,

Claude

Subscribing to this thread to see how it unfolds :) Hope you get your car back and all goes well in the end.

This is a true statement. Even if you owed this guy money, he can not keep your property. He must turn the car over to you. Show up with the title. If he does not turn the car over then call the local po-po and request their assistance. Even if he claims you owe him money he can't hold the car as collateral. He has to sue you for money owed, not the other way around! Go get your car now!!

A few e-mails done without threats could help but I doubt it. Still worth a try??

Search Mease on this board and you'll see why nothing short of a personal visit will get the car back. Good luck! If you end up going down to see him, take some TB.com stickers and slap em around the shop ;)

Wayne (wdunfee), thanks for your efforts and help with this. It was good talking to you tonight.

Yes, I am in possession of the title. I have tried to work things out with Keith to get the car back since my husband passed away we talked back and forth for awhile, but now he is just ignoring me. My hopes are that he still has the car and did the work on it that Eric paid for. I just want it back so I can put it back together. He also gave him a lot of parts that I probably won't see, but I will just be happy to get the car back.

That is a bummer that this guy wont return your posessions... this is my opinion and im sure alot of people on here will hate me for this but i think you should report the car stolen and tell the police who has it and they can get it back and since this keith guy is basically ignoring all your calls and emails and what not he deserves to be charged with posession of stolen property and go to jail for being such a POS and ripping people off.

Unbelievable that such a talented fabricator should have to operate so unethically, dishonestly, and irresponsibly. Such wasted potential.....
