Looking for a GN hood with original (black) paint

Does anyone have a nice GN hood, with original black paint ?

I need one in good shape - I don't mind buffing/polishing it,
but don't want one with dents or rust.

my t-type hood would probably be cheaper for you even if you had to repaint it. its clean and has no rust. its just 1996 monte carlo ss maroon. $200.00 plus shipping.

hood was originally white and is now 1996 monte carlo ss maroon/purpleish burgundy looking......im not a fan of my TR's current color, oh well at least its only paint.

Hello. I will have mine up for sale in the next few days. I am having one of my helpers strip down the hood and repaint it black. I am getting Brian's fiberglass hood with the raised cowl so I wont need mine. What are you looking to spend on a hood thats in perfect shape that will have a new paint job on it? Also take in consideration shipping it will be pricey but you are more then welcome to come pick it up too.

Looking for GN hood with good Original Black paint

I can find hoods in decent/good shape, or I can have my hood repaired and painted.
My concern is that it will not match - I cannot afford right now to repaint my car,
and the original paint is still good.
What I need, is a hood in good shape, with good original black paint,
so I can buff and polish it to look like it belongs on my '87 GN with all original paint.
If your hood is in good shape, don't strip it yet - send me some pictures,
give me an honest description of it, and a price that you're asking for it.

My hood has a nasty dent from a box falling off shelf in my garage.
Too deep for paintless dent repair, and paint got chipped.
I can get this hood fixed and repainted, but I would prefer to keep the car in original paint as long as possible.
If anyone has a nice hood, with good original Black paint, no major dents, no rust, no checking,
and preferably driving distance from Fishkill, NY, please let me know.
I know, its a "reach", but you never know...
