looking at a motor/

i am going to look at a 86-87 engine tomorrow and was wondering what should i look for......

the motor has 112000 miles/ran when pulled
i think it should be a 109 block?????

it has 109 block
heads 25518445 on both sides
basicly a rebuildable long block
has a very used turbo with it(looks like something hit the impellers)the fan looking doodad
anyone?

Those numbers are correct for an 86/87. The mileage isn't too high, many of us have run fast with higher mileage motors. These engines are very stout, only needing valve springs and probably a timing chain. Don't let the mileage determine a rebuild. If it ran and you weren't planning on building a 10 sec or faster car, then run it.

well i was told the motor had a slight tick when cold and 112,000 miles
after doing a search on the seller now it sounds like the
motor lost oil pressure and spun the bearings.......
i am going to have to think about this one.............
