can it be done for a couple of weeks? I broke the weld around my ART CARR nonlock up converter between the converter and flywheel. Trans is out and would like to thow in a lock up precision 0-pump, 5 disk so I could drive the car for a couple weeks till I know what im going to do tranny wise. Thinking about ordering a janis tranny good or bad choice? Any ideas of why my converter broke...?

A Lockup TC/TorqueConverter in a Trans converted to NonLock wont work. It will Lockup as soon as you start the Engine, any gear besides Neutral will stall the engine.
To use the Lockup TC you will need to reinstall the TCC apply valve in the Pump and O-ring on Input Shaft. Capsule in the end of Input Shaft is optional, it will cause a very firm Lockup with a stock Lockup TC. Capsule probably not used with the Vig TC anyway.
