Lock Up again

It´s a D5 2800 stall converter on my th2004r. I talked to PTS and they told me WOT with a locked up clutch won´t be a problem for that D5 converter. But what happens when I lock it up manually during accerlation in the low rpm range? I mean when I step on the gas, the engine rpms will go up to about 2800rpm but the tc output is just 1000 or 1400rpm. When I lock up the clutch at that time, won´t that kill the clutch after a few times?
