Has anyone attempted to make their own Laptop stand? I have been tossing around the idea, and would like to see what others have come up with.

Here's mine.
The base is the only interesting thing. One mounting point, and I don't look at it when driving or racing but it doesn't take up much room in the car and the base parts stays in you simply pull the pin and take the tube and top piece out with the computer in one piece.
I have bases in both cars so it's easy to use quickly in each one.
Quick release clips with nylon straps and generic sheet metal large top will accomodate many laptops quickly, can make it to fit one size laptop easy enough however.
Bought the tube and swivel piece used from a board member years ago.
