ONE WEEK AND COUNTING

To answer some of the questions we are getting about
the upcoming Reunion and Birthday Event.

If you can't bring your actual car, bring your trunk
lid. Molly will sign your trunk ID label for you.

Both days we will be making an announcement several
times during each day when Molly will be signing trunk
ID labels. So, it is not important you get there at 10
am. He will also be doing this at our house that
Sunday morning. My son will be accompanying
him to stamp the "Molly Signature Series" stamp before
he signs his name.

On Sunday at the Warrington Country Club for the sit-
down dinner, it is casual dress, which means you can
wear jeans. Many of you who know me, know I am not a
suit and tie guy, exception being weddings and
funerals. We are the only event that day and have the
entire place for our event. At the Warrington Country
Club we have an entire room that is air conditioned for
each vendor to have their own table which will be set up,
so you can relax, etc.

During that afternoon we will make announcements as to
when Molly will go outside and sign trunk ID labels.

Because of parking spaces we can not allow any trucks and
trailers into the country club parking area. Within 300 yards
of the country club sits a huge parking lot. At both corners
are shopping centers that see very little activity on Sunday
afternoon. You can park your rig at the far end of the lots.
However, I am going by the assumption a few hours with your
rig in these lots will not be a problem.

Again, I can't urge you enough to drive carefully.
The local police near our shop is aware
of the event.

Saturday we would like everyone to back into their parking
spots as I know many of you will want to take photos.
Parking spots are lined, so we need everyone to park in
the lined spots. PLEASE.

As you read this Eileen and I have ordered up two
specially designed cakes for the banquet that Sunday nite.

The event both days is not limited solely to Turbo
Regals. Any muscle car is invited and we do have some
Syclones, late-model GTOs, turbo Trans Ams, and I
believe some early GS Buicks attending. Remember this
is basically an Open House Saturday and a Reunion event
Sunday. It will have the look of a car show but at
the same time your Turbo Regal can be a work in
progress. It is not a judged event or one that will
have cars in a specific order. The event was not
promoted to the public at all however, I have invited
several personal local friends to stop in.

This event is laid back for everyone to enjoy and
actually meet and talk with the person that way back
in the early 1980s was approached by Buick to design a
car that would attract a younger buyer to the Buick
market. To that degree Molly succeeded and the rest
as they say is history.

I talked to Terry Shaw who is well versed in
appraising Turbo Regals and has done Richard Clarks
massive collection as well. Because of commitments,
he is only at our event on Saturday at our house Sunday
morning. He can't attend the event at the country club.
He will be offering our members a discount from his normal fee.
With the values of our cars increasing every year it
is important that an appraisal is attached to your
insurance policy. Remember you can never have enough
ammunition when a problem arises.

Even more so for those of you that own a T-Type or
Turbo-T since the values of them is softer than the
GNX and Grand Nationals.

On Saturday if you are trailering your car to our Open
House you will be directed to the Worth & Worth
complex just passed our complex to unload and park
your rig. This will keep things flowing in our
complex and make it easier on our small staff to
keep things moving.

We will have the vendor area and our office roped off
until all the vendors are set up. At 10 am you will
be allowed into that area. Our front office area will
have coffee, water, and Yum Yum donuts available.
Next to our vendor area we will have the two featured
cars the last GNX built and the Silver Billet on
display.

Thanks!!

Could you please explain what Molly had to do with the GN? I've done my research and it appears to be very little.

Rich you bring this up from time to time and I am sure you already now the answer. He designed the Turbo Six Logo and designed and presented the prototype that was the basis for the 1984 to 87 Turbo Regals. Where the cars made exactly like his prototype no, but the Logo is.

Thanks

Pete

Can you come down JUST for the open house and show on Sunday? Not interested in the banquet or vending.
