JE Pistons with .927 Pin Part #

I purchased a set of BMS rods with the .927 pin end and wanted to know if JE pistons are readily available with this size rather than the stock .939. If anybody knows please let me know the part #. Thanks Jon

To the best of my knowledge the only off the shelf pistons J&E offers for our engines come in 3.820" and 3.830" bore with .940" pin dia. All the pistons I have ordered with .927" pin dia were custom.

Thanks Neal, For the dollar amount do you think I would be better off going with a custom piston or having the machine shop open the the rod up for a press fit? Would thier be any performance advntages with the custom piston verc. off the self? Thanks Jon

Jon,

On the rods you bought do they have bushings or are they press fit? If they're press fit you could have them opened up. I think it would be easier to order the custom pistons myself. Then you can get exactly what you want for bore size, compression height, dish volume etc.
