Calculate what you "need", then double it! NEVER enough space....
I have a 22 x 26 garage, a 30 x 30 shop, and just added a 14 x 25 onto the shop...All this for 2 Turbo cars, and a pickup truck..STILL cramped.

we added 13' x 22' to my Dad's garage, and it is packed. WTF

Chainsaws are cheap. Just leave 6 foot of the tree intact so a tractor will have the "leverage" to pull the stump out.

If it were only so simple. The tree I need gone is 9 feet around the base and about 70 foot tall. It 's only about 20 feet from the corner of my house as well.

You guys have this all wrong. Buy the property. Find the biggest baddest garage with lift, enough room for 5 to 6 cars or more. Everything you can think of to go in the garage. Then put a tent beside it to live in.
I keep my car in a storage unit because I don't have a garage.
