Is there a time limit for replying?

There's been several times, when I've spent some time, typing a *complete* answer to an involved question, only to get *a you're not logged in* response, when I hit submit. Then when I hit back, it's also gone...

Is there a time limit on how long you have to type a response, and hit submit?. If there is can it be bumped up?.

No Bruce there is no time limit on replys to a thread / post ,
I know that some sites I have visited have time limits on a members movement (if you stand still to long in a forum the system will log you out) that option is not active here.
