Is anybody using an Autometer EGT gauge?

I have one for my car and it's all installed and the only thing left to do is drill the hole in the header to mount the probe.
My question is, did you use the supplied clamp for the probe, the weld on bung, or a different probe?
I'd like to know that the supplied probe/clamp will work just fine but I think the probe might be too long to fit in the header and still "clamp" on.

Any help is appreciated.

i used the clamp for the probe and it worked fine.

I just went out and measured and it looks like the probe is going to protrude about 2 1/4" and the spot on the header where I wanted to put it (right near the O2 sensor) is only measuring about 2". Hmm.
Where did you mount the probe?

And just as a general EGT probe question, about where do you want the tip of the probe in the exhaust? Does it need to be centered or doesn't it really matter as long as it's not right up next to the header?
