Identity theft

Has anyone here been a victim of Identity theft? How did you handle it? I had an Insurance agent tell me that I had supposedly hit one of their clients. They had my driver's license #, an address from about 6 yrs ago as well as my name and current address. What steps should I take?

What kind of vehicle did the damage? Have you ever owned one the the vehicles?
