It's coming from the shaft. I could actually see the shaft from the gear box when im under the car,Looks like it's missing a washer.
Any tips on what to do??

Thanks a bunch!

Pull the pitman arm off and replaced the shaft seal. Not a very hard job. There should be a snap ring that retains the seal that will also have to be removed.

Most auto parts stores should be able to get it. I would try to deal with a jobber rather than a chain store (like Pep Boys, Autozone, Advance Auto)
You could also get it from GM. Pretty common seal as the Saginaw 800 steering box is still used on trucks.

I think I installed it backwards

I put the seals on with the spring side facing down:( .I went for a ride and all the fluid poured out:mad: . I drove with it home with no fluid ,did I do any harm??,can I put in new seals??
Also I filled it up with tranny fluid, good thing or bad thing??
Thanks
I FEEL SOOO STUPID!!!

 You put the septer shaft seal in backwards, very bad.
Remove seal and put it in other way. Spring facing inside box.
If you did'nt drive too far empty probrably did no damage.
Buy a bottle of Lucas ps additive put the whole bottle in first
then fill rest of way with ps fluid. Also putting in trans fliud is no biggie:D

SOMETHING WICKED THIS WAY COMES:eek:
