Do I just unhook it and slide it through the floor. And reverse the process to install? I hope it's that simple. Looking for advice and tips.

TIA

YEP!!!

It's pretty simple, just a PITA.
When I did mine, I removed the center console, unhooked the cable from the shifter, and slid it out what was left of my 15 year old grommet in the floor. If you unhook it from the tranny first, it should give you a bit more wiggle room with the cable when you're feeding it back out. Oh yes...the console comes out better with the shifter handle in anything but "P"... like "D" or "2" or "1" work MUCH better.

Just curious, did your cable snap or are you just replacing it to replace it?

Ooooops

I just read your other post...I'm kinda slow (short yellow bus).

I found my cable at Advanced for $23

After checking with all your local places like The Zone, OhReally, Advanced, and GM...and you still can't find it, give BWeavy an e-mail. He's one of our "Buick Catfish" who has just about every possible used part for these cars. His prices are more than fair and he ships fast. In other words he wont sit on his a$$.

Thanks

Erik,

Thanks for the help. I pulled it out fine. The new one should be here later today.
