How full - diff fluid?

I have the Moser TA aluminum diff cover. There is a drain hole and what I believe is the fill hole (top half of cover).

It seems to be at the same level as the filler hole on the diff.

Do I use that hole and fill to the rim? Or use the one on the front of the diff?

I've always used the front one,but I have a stock cover,so I don't have a choice.

They look like they are at the same level so I'll probably use the one in the diff cover as it's easier to get to : - )

My understanding is they are not at the same level, and if you fill it to that hole it'll be overfilled...I used that hole for filling and had the stock hole open so I knew when to quit.

Remove the stock plug on side of diff housing...just use a 3/8 ratchet with extension...no socket needed since
the hole is square...use the fill hole on the cover and fill until the fluid just starts to come out the hole on the housing
...I wouldn't use either hole on the cover to determine level...you also want the car level
