How do you install the P/S pump pulley?

I need to install the P/S pump pulley and need to know how to get it back on the shaft. Do you just use a bolt and impact gun?

You need a pulley installer. It does thread into the center of the pump shaft, but it has 2 half-moon clamps that go around the center of the pulley nose. These go into a threaded sleeve and then you crank it on. Be very careful installing this pulley; they can bend easily and wobble. They are thin.

If you have a Harbor Freight Tools nearby...they have a pulley remover/install kit for $10...looks the same as the NAPA kit for $80 and works fine...I've used it several times...check this out:

Thanks for the info. I didn't realize the removal tool could also be used to install the pulley. I'll check mine when I get home to see if it will work.
