Hot air spare engine,transmission value?

Hey Guys, came across a local guy selling a complete setup, Engine, Transmission, Harness, Computer, accessories, that came out of his 85 I believe. He said it was rebuilt last year and the block has a total of 30,000 miles on it. Thinking about picking in up just to have a spare in case. Are these getting harder to find. They don't seem to be in high demand with everyone swapping for the inter cooler setup. He's asking $1600.00. What's your thoughts.......?

Depends who built the motor and the parts in it. Also what's done to the trans
