Hood mounting holes stripped....

The 2 front bolt holes, on the hood mount, allow the bolts to just slide right in, without catching, so the hood just has the rear two bolts holding it in. After searching google and the forums for what the bolts thread into, I've had no luck, so I'm curious if they use speed nuts, or if there's a welded nut etc, and how I can remedy the issue, hopefully without ripping the fenders off.
