Hood latch

Hey guys Im having a hard time with my hood latch, I openad the hood and go to close it and the latch does'nt want to work. any one have that problem? any info would help. P.s I dont want to drill holes for locks, it's a mint 87 GN Thanks

Check to see if the latching mechanism is stuck or rusted. Spray it with some WD 40 and get it loosened up.

Hey thanks alot GN ENERGY for the info, I did use wd 40 the other day dut not enough , so I applied some more and had to adjust the latch, It appears that over the years it has fallen and the rod up in the hood wasn't catching well now work good and looks even better. By the way I was born in Troy Ohio. thanks again
