Homemade Valet Switch

Has anyone made a homemade valet switch or anything like that? My 87 GN is pretty much stock. I would like to have a switch that would alternate between full power and partial power. Any suggestions?

I use a thumb wheel switch

I believe it was from Cotton, that has valet mode, then you just hide it or lock it away.

BUT....... no one drives my cars, if it will be out of my sight, I will drive one of my other cars.

if for some reason, I must park it and leave, I disable it, so no one can drive it.

X2! These cars are SO easy to steal!

I've owned the car for 25 years and I can count the number of people who have driven my car on one hand! And all but 2 of them I was in the passenger seat.

There wont be many people at all driving my car but for those that DO, I want a reduced power mode. I looked at Cottons and didnt find anything that I thought was related. Im wondering if there is a safe and easy way to limit RPMs or do something else that will keep anyone I ALLOW to drive it from getting hog wild with it.

My ultra chip had a valet mode and antitheft. Pretty cool features.

I remember caspers had a switch that would toggle between 2 chips, the idea was to change on the fly to the one you wanted. I dont see why you couldnt have eric burn you a low power chip and flip between that and your regular one. Of course you will need to hide the switch

Full Throttle chips have it in certain ones.

I wouldn't valet it either.

But mines been in the lot at the casino often enough in the old days.

It was easy to find. ;)

To those who say you would NOT do it, is it a technical reason? I don't intend to use it at a valet parking or anything like that! I mean to use this in cases where someone such as my wife or another person I know might be driving it. I have no intention of letting ANY stranger behind the wheel. This is simply to keep the majority of the power out of reach of my wife or other "approved" drivers.

I'd like to know too. In Vegas you dont have a choice alot of times and keeping the car parked up front in valet is alot safer than in the parking lot
