High Flow Oil Pump Upgrade?

Doing the valve spring/timing chain upgrade and thought that with the front cover off might as well go with a bigger oil pump.Any thoughts,opinions,tips,tricks?

Do you know what the oil press was? If the motor is old you can do a big pump, if not I don't think they are nessesary. I run a stock melling pump with a booster plate, It's more than enough.

I don't know what the oil pressure is,no gauge. but the motor only has 50k miles and I am the original owner.(ordered it in Feb.87 took delivery in April 87)

I wouldn't do it, That motor is fine! Do the chain and springs and have fun
