Hey guys I just joined and new to the turbo game, I've been into old school muscle since high school. Finally bought a Buick. Car is an 87 Turbo T Type with 115,000 miles, white with blue insides T tops and loaded. Car has always has Amsoil in it. The turbo was rebuild, trans gone through before I got it. As far as I know it's stock exept for a K@N filter, chip and an adjustable waste-gate. Can anyone point me in the right direction to add about 100hp to the rear wheels whithout giving up driving the car every day as I do. Or a specialist in the area of Richmond, VA.
Thanks guys for any help.

Welcome! Congrats on the car and your new addiction!

alky, then drag radials to start. But before you do anything you need to do a tuneup, change all fluids, check exhaust leaks, check out ALL your suspension bushings, do body bushings, get a scanmaster or a knock guage at least, all guages, you get my drift. YOU CAN NOT just start throwing performance parts on these cars without getting the basics done and knowing everything is right to start off with. For every mod, you need tomonitor to see what needs to be changed and what don't. There are a fwe things you can start off with but do your spring cleaning first, hotwire the pump, get the suspension and the car itsself in shape, then talk power. Not trying to be mean and bossy but I won't be the only one telling you this. We don't like to see anyone with blown headgaskets and fried/shattered pistons. I'll get you a link so you can do some reading.

Id agree....spring cleaning first. Get a scanmaster or direct scan to monitor whats going on. Than get some bigger injectors, fuel pump, and chip.

Welcome.....Just three words. Read, read, read. This is a good place to start.

Turbo Regal Web Site

Information is one of your best tools for these cars. Then do basics first. You'll find that these cars are very addictive.

Hell yeah they are:eek: I've driven mine for about 2 weeks this year, but I'm on the site every day. Just cruisin around looking for interesting stuff to read up on just for the extra knowledge.

with a 115000 things to do first
timing chain (plastic teeth) most are cracked or missing
rollor cam button,100lb valve springs & seals (115000. very weak)
plugs,wires,fuel filter,intercooler hoses,flush intercooler,trans filter & fluid
and rear end diff fluid. get the motor up to snuff first then start the bolt on's. scanmaster is a must!!!!!! hope this helps.
anything we can do just let us know. D.P.S

Thanks for the reply guys, Scanmaster? where to find?

I've got a September 1997 Popular Hot Rodding mag with an article bout a GN that Kenne Bell did to a car with a 110,000 miles on it. Is anyone familiar with this? They started with a wastegate solenoid and a oil pressure booster plate, new plugs, wires, 160 thermostat, and a fuel pump "Boost A Pump". Is anybody famaliar with this set up? Or is it out dated? I was thinking of following the first part of this set up to get about 90 extra to the rear wheels. Is this something you guys would recomend?
Thanks again,
Mitchell
