has anthony jones k-member and a-arms
flaming river manual rack
HPM caster/camber plates
Aerospace 5 lug brakes in front (will be going too "Skinny kid racing" manual master cylinder soon)
D&D front coilovers
Wolfe subframe connectors
upper and lower torque box plates
full line of autometer ultra lite guages
needs the rear end done. i'm thinking locker, 31 spline 5 lug moser axles, factory disk brakes, 1/2" wheel studs. and some adjustable upper and lower control arms

thats it, thats my new project vehicle
what do ya think? how much is it going too weigh?

You should be able to get it to weigh 2600-2800 with driver.
Mine weighs 3080 with me in it. I weigh 260 and mine is an 88 Gt.
And i can get it lighter but i already have to add 170 to race the class
I run with mine.

hope this helps.

he might even weigh less than that, my 88 LX hatch with an automatic and 5.0 weighs in at 2900lbs according to the title. on a GT skirts make it weigh more, plus a hatch weighs more than a notch.... either way these cars are amazing with a turbo 6 in them plus theres an enormous aftermarket for anything imaginable

Yes i no they they are amazing with a turbo 6 in them.
the attached pics is my car.

i was figuring somewhere around 2800lbs with me (215) in it.

Dennis, i have your page stored in my favorites. once i found out you were in IL, i was going too e-mail you eventually with lots of questions  .
you wouldnt happen too have an extra set of motor mounts laying around for this specific swap?

how hard do you think it would be to use motor and mid plate?

motor mounts

Maybe he could fab up some mounts up for us guys thats going that way. If you do make them, make them a girdle motor. i would be interested in them too.

simple,

2800 should not be a problem. Are you going to put an roll bar or roll cage in it?I think I can copy the motor mounts.but you have to move the trans
mount back.I have my motor why back.Does you k member move the motor
up or down from stock?I think a mid plate would work fine but the motor
plate i think would be a lot of work to make work.Plus if you are going to use stock header they would be in the way of a motor plate.

hope this helps
Dennis

Dennis, if you copy the mounts i would be interested in a set too  Ive been looking at this project myself. I had a 92 coupe lined up locally but the guy sold it from underneath me..still wanting to do it. :)

me too, i have cash in hand for a set of mounts! i would come and pick them up too, i want to check your GT out in person

i'm not sure if the k-member moves the motor up or down, i bought the car the way it is. i'll find out tho. (or is there an easy way too tell?)
i figured the motor plate would be a PITA because of the position of the turbo and stock headers.
i will be putting at the very least, a 6 point roll bar in it.

Dennis, with your fabbed mounts, what pads are you using on the engine side? HR mounts?
what trans are you using? i plan on retaining the 200-4r, i want the OD since i'll be driving it on the street and to and from GIR too run it

Steve :)

I have a D+D k member on mine with the stock motor mounts that i made solid on the motor tHE HR mount would not work on my car for some reson.
I am using a turbo 400 trans but i mocked it up with the 200-4r. the only diffence is the hole centers on trans mount.

If you are going to put a roll bar in your self i recommend a wolf race craft
pre-notched per-fit cage or roll bar i have there 10 point cage and there through the floor frame connecters. It was very easy to put in.
i attached a pic of the cage.

my brother in law had a 92 GT that got stolen about a year ago he has a bunch of stuff left over thats all new cause he never got the chance to put the stuff on his car, i dont need any of his stuff so if you guys are interested ill find out exactly whats left. i know theres a cobra 5lug 4 wheel disk big brake conversion, maximum motorsports subframe connectors, moser axels, a posi unit, SVO 42lb injectors he might still have all the maximum motorsports adjustable rear suspension parts too, but anyway ill let you guys know hes moving now so were starting to find everything burried in the closet
