help with cam sensor install

I'm sure someone has asked this before. I'm having troubles pushing cam sensor all the way down. I've been trying to turn crank to get slot for oil pump gear lined up but I am still struggling. Any ideas?

Stick in a long blade screwdriver in the hole where the cam sensor goes and turn the oil pump drive. Look on the bottom of sensor drive gear to align to oil pump drive. Don't forget to put alittle oil on the cam sensor O-ring seal to help ease installation
