i know PAW carries speedpro/sealed power parts, edelbrock parts, comp cams parts and most any other maker there is. i found a 204/214 cam in the catalog and i looked it up on speedpro's site and looked previous posts with the cam's specs in it and compard them to the what the catalog says. the catalog says:

duration
intake: 262
exhaust: 272

duration @ .050
intake: 204
exhaust: 214

lift
intake: .448
exhaust: .472

is this the speed pro cam b/c i saw an old post about this cam, w/different normal duration numbers but the same duration @ .050 numbers?

here are the edelbrock specs from their site:

Duration at .006 Lift: Intake 280° Exhaust 290° Centerlines
Duration at .050 Lift: Intake 204° Exhaust 214°
Lobe Separation: 112°
Lift at Cam: Intake .280 Exhaust .295 Intake Centerline: 107°
Lift at Valve: Intake .448 Exhaust .472

why is their duration @ .006 differnt than the PAW 204/214's but the same as the PAWs 214/224?

simply put, what 204/214 cam do i want to get (speedpro, edelbrock, etc?) and where can i get it. PAW has cams for $50 and for $85 you get the cam w/lifters but if this is the wrong cam i wont get it. what cam maker makes PAWs 204/214?

thanks :D

I am pretty sure they are both the same cams just measured differently for duration. Use either one. I ordered my 214/224 through Flatlander and they also carry the 204/214. HTH's.

No, the blanks are all the same. The question is do you want their lifters or your own? Also may be a warranty issue if you use their cam but not lifters. The Edelbrock cam setup is a nice package for the price (cam, lifters, assembly lube) for about $125.00. I paid $110.00 for just the 214/224 cam and will be putting Melling 969 lifters on it which are about another $25.00.

I don't think it matters much. Some people don't like the Comp Cams lifters because they are loud! Any of the others should work fine since they too generally come from 1 or 2 lifter makers.
