Heater box drain?

Where is the drain for the heater box? I have a pool of water on the passenger floor board from running the A/C. Is there a common problem with these that would be a good starting point?

My recollection is that it's on the engine side of the firewall on the bottom of the A/C box above the inner fenderwell. It's sort of a rubber flapper that gets stuck closed with debris and grundge. I removed mine on my last car when I had the same problem you did.

pop the squirrel cage fan out. It'll only take a second. then you can see if there's water in the heaterbox and check the flapper for obstructions.

Thanks, I'll pull the blower motor out this morning and check that flap.

If you feel your way down the front of the heaterbox you can sometimes free it without opening the heater box up.
