Explain this to me..........I bought a Gn with a heated O2 sensor, BUT the original sensor is still wired to the original single lead wire and simply zip-tied to the alternator bracket {????}

Can I disconnect this or will the engine show a code?

Thanks

you sure its the O2....sounds like maybe the IAT that was pulled from the stock air box assy. this is usually done when a cold air kit is added.

:)

Duh ,duh, Duh

That must be what it is :redface:

It looks just like an O2 sensor IMO :rolleyes:

And yes, the car DOES have a Cold Air kit, metal MAF pipe, etc. Makes sense.

I really don't like it just hanging there though........wonder if I can somehow retrofit it into the MAF pipe.....or easier yet the K/N Filter Cone.

Any suggestions????

Thanks SO much!

some slice a small hole in the neck of their K&N and friction fit the IAT there.
problem is it might not reach. could also just strap it on the backside of a bracket so its not visable, performance wise, doesn't matter.

:)

you could purchase an angle adapter and reinstall it. Most venders on the board probly sell them, I have one, but I don't remember who I purchased it from. :confused:
