Head Rest

I'm trying to restore my t type seats but dont know how to remove the head rest. Is there a way to remove the head rest with out breaking something????...

Yes, there is. Try this. Get yourself a hack saw blade or a piece of thin metal about 1/64" thick. Make it 6" long (and loop the metal on one end so you can have something to hold onto while using) by 5/8" wide if you go with the thin metal.

1) Raise up your headrest to full-up position.

2) Insert the blade down the front surface of the headrest post until it stops.

3) Push the headrest and blade fully downward at the same time.

4) Lift headrest out of seatback.

To reinstall the headrest, insert headrest post into guide and push downward to full-down position. Check that the lock spring engages and prevents headrest from being removed.

Try it, it works well. Did for me. Hope this helps you.
