HD Rocker Arm Shafts

Will these HD Rocker Arm shafts fit on my 87 Buick Grand National with stock motor? Changing to Comp Cams 980-12 and want to replace stock shafts with HD shafts. will also replace the valve stem seals since I am getting the blue smoke upon start up and not while running.

Yes those are the shafts.

Also, if the heads are stock, those valve seals will not work.

As mentioned those shafts will work but I would do a holddown kit instead of the shaft and save some money assuming there is nothing wrong with your shafts now.

The comp 980s don't have extreme valvespring pressures and there are lots of people (including myself) that have done the spring upgrade without shafts or holddowns.

That weber kit looks pretty nice. Whether you go hardened shafts or hold downs get a set of bolts like those in the weber kit or the studs from TA performance, otherwise one of your next threads may be "how do I repair stripped thread on the rocker stands with motor still together/ in car?"... Those threads don't have a whole lot of strength and you have to slowly tighten them in sequence to spread the pressure across all 3 sets of threads. Studs are preferred as you can engage all the threads then just draw down the shaft with the nuts.
