Having new D/S made & have Q's??

Ok, I am going to have a D/S made at a local favorite place (3" steel .083" wall) What does everyone on here use, aluminum or steel D/S's?

I was going to have them do the 1350 u-joints with the heavy duty 1350 Yoke on the transmission end. He asked me if I wanted change out the rearend pinion yoke out for the bigger 1350 one. I told him I wasn't sure and wanted to get some ideas from the pros/vets on here first. If the car will ever see 10's it would be high 10's in the quarter.

So what does everyone think? :confused:

Is the stock sizes ok or would it be smarter to change this out to the bigger 1350 stuff?

i just ordered one from the driveshaft shop for $550 shipped. 3" chromolly with hardened slip and pinion yolks with 1350 joints.
 
YES. I changed the Diff yoke for a 1350 as well, and a Billet Trans Yoke.
Sleep better at night...:wink:
