Has anyone used reproduction sun Visors?

I bought some reproduction sun visors and it seems like it should be simple to just slip them on but the sun visor pin bolted to the roof seems too big for the space in the reproduction sun visors. Has anyone else had this problem??? The visors actually look pretty nice so I hope there's a way to make them work
