hi turbo buick! New gn owner here and I would love to learn about my car. I'm completely clue less as to what the gauges inside mean and if there's a computer in the car? Sorry if this has been posted but can someone give me a link to a beginners guide to grand nationals? If not where can I look to learn about how the engine works and what boost I should be getting. Sorry if this has been asked before. Thanks!

It's an 87, the engine was rebuilt around 15 years ago.

That is the way it's supposed to work if you're lucky. The problem is you never know when that relay has gone bad. Until it has already drained the battery from running the fan all night, and now the car won't start so you can get to work on time. Thats when you really get PO. LOL

www.gnttype.org is a good site for noobs too. Lots of good info and pics. And, like previously mentioned, just read, read, search, and read some more

This might be a dumb question, but when I get my oil changed do I have to explain to them how to add zddp? Or will they already know? How exactly is it added or it literally just poured in after the oil had been changed? Thanks!

You add it to the fresh oil going in. More than likely, you will have to provide whomever is changing your oil with it as its not likely they will have this on hand http://www.kirbanperformance.com/products.php?search_text=zddp&submit_button=

There are some oils that already contain ZDDP like http://www.valvoline.com/products/consumer-products/motor-oil/racing-motor-oil/6. The amount of ZDDP you get with this oil is below what you would get with the additive above though...

Thanks bud

I hadn't even heard of this until now. Totally makes sense though, thanks for the info! About how much do you add per oil change?

EDIT: Nevermind the question...just read that one 4-ounce bottle is added per oil change.
