Green wire not connected on back of alternator

Have a question about the green wire and where does it connect to.My rpm is pegged and the boost gauge works as it should,was going to send to caspers to have fix but reading instructions it said to disconnect it was wondering what am i looking for to plug the green wire with a connector to(instruction said to leave white wires disconnected )i am hoping this is the problem with the tach.Thanks in advance JIm

it connects to nothing ..its for diagnostic use just tape it to the harness

thank you for the picture the green connector is not connected as in the picture shown was wondering if that is why the tach is pegged will have to look for the two white wire connector and see if that will fix before i send to caspers.thanks for the help jim(unless it's something else boost works as it should)
