Grand National no start problems

Hello All,

I own a shop and recently had a 1984 G/N dropped off for no start issues. However upon disassembly of some things. We found a broken wire in some sort of jumper harness between the Ignition and the ECM (or pcm,ect..). That none of the employees have ever seen.
My "guess" is that it is an old school way of altering time (kinda like a chip would on new cars).


Any help would greatly greatly appreciated.
