Wednesday night I got the car home, last night I gave it a good washing from
the 1100 trailer ride home, it was a mess.
I pulled out the ATR Chip that was in it. The address on the chip was a CA
address..they haven't been out there for a LONG time! I put in a Jay Carter
chip I had from my GN a few yrs back, adjusted the TPS, set the fuel
pressure and that's about it. Next will come some mods, 50#ers, te63e,
3"thdp, 3k 9x11, and the usual stuff, guages etc..
The condition of the car is really hard to describe. Even my low mile
TTA(7500 miles) was not in as nice a shape. The glass on the car is so
clear, not even a water mark/spot, I've never seen anything like it...well
on a new car yes obviously. The paint is glossy, no dings whatsoever and no
discoloration. The vinyl pad is glossy and supple, no dryness or cracking,
I've got to ask the previous owner what he used as it obviously did an
excellent job.. The wheels are growing on me. The chrome door key guard is
coming off this weekend as well as the GN "Intercooled" emblem under the "T"
on the fenders which the orig. owner put on. The decklid emblem is in the
wrong spot and will be fixed next week as well.
Of particular interest...take a look at the door pics. Where the window
switch originally went there is a 1" tweeter with a custom made grill. The
switch was relocated on the lower panel to next to the door lock switch. It
looks really good there and the original location hole was not modified at
all. The stereo sounds great also!!
For guages, I like the Autometer Phantom series and think they would look
very good with this combo and actually thinking about a GNX cluster setup
w/the phantoms in it..not sure on that yet.
