Gentlemen,

Greetings from the project infested depths of my PA garage...Spank here... I got an interesting question for you guys.... I was installing my vaccum brake setup today and I saw a wierd pressure switch mounted on my brake pedal mount. It has some sort of vaccum hose attached to it that goes out to the firewall and that it!!! What the hell is this hose for?

Awaiting you genius answers!!! ;)

Thanks,

Spank

:D

Chris, I could be wrong on this, but I think its supposed to go to your cruise control unit on the driver's side inner fender.

I could be way off, though. :D

I can look when I get home but I'm pretty sure that goes to the Power Master unit.

I'll post again when I get home if no one confirms it by then.

its your cruise control. it just goes on that plastic piece thats on your brake pedel. you shold see a little nipple type thing to push it on to. GL

Every wonder why the cruise control stops when you touch the brakes?

That's what your mysterious vacuum unit is for around the brake pedal :)

There are 4 switches operated by the brake pedal, in two seperate housings.

On housing has the vacuum switch, for the cruise control, that immediately bleeds off the vac in the vac canister for operating the cruise throttle cable. On that same switch is the 3rd brake light switch.

In the other switch is the main brake lights, and the TCC switch.
