No need for treats man, the turbo had some play up and down like most journal bearings turbos do but it did not come in contact with the housing per my description, there is no oil present on exhaust on inlet housing and no cracks on either impeller, all you need to do is run it in a car and get some oil in the bearings and center and the turbo should be fine, and as far as rebuilding the turbo yes it can be done by just replacing the bearings in it which any turbo specialist should be able to do, If you don't want to turbo just sent it back I know there is nothing wrong with it, you already put a hold on payment claiming it was an error through paypal which is not a cool thing to do before you contacted me to let me know what you were going to do, dispute has been open on PP..

First off your original ad says turbo has some Play This Turbo has a substantial amount of play.more than your describing. About the oil in the turbo thats a Myth Because
I know about Turbos and this Turbo definitely needs rebuilding and I didn't closely examine it if the Impeller was cracked because I was very dissapointed.I Emailed you in the Morning and I didn't get a response back so I did what I had to do We are not talking about $150.00 Dollars its 1500.00 How would you feel if the tables We Turned. you would be pissed too I'm Sure.

Elias, run the turbo bro, you will find that is perfectly fine and it does not leak, journal turbos are known for having significant play like this one does, as long as the impeller does not touch the housing the turbo is fine, I know this because my buddy had a GNX and the turbo in his car had the same amount of play as the one you bought from me..
Thanks

Any JB turbo shouldn't have more then a millimeter of in/out at the shaft.. if that much..

No dog in this fight but the rule of thumb is there should be no perceptible end play on a good turbo. If you can feel it, it's too much. Measured it should not exceed .0015. The fact that it doesn't have oil on exhaust or inlet proves very little.

Buying used turbos is always a crap shoot. Hell, I once bought a turbo (from a well known member) that was rebuilt by a well known shop. 400 miles later I ran into all the problems I mentioned above. Ended up sending it to bison and all has been well since. Moral of the story, buying used turbos is always a crap shoot. But if you do, assume you will have to send it to bison sooner rather than later :)

Elias, your money has been returned to you by paypal, I will hope you are Returning my turbo back to me ASAP if you do not I will take further action in this matter.

Problem with GNX turbos is they are only valuable to other gnx owners and most of their cars have the orig turbo. Buying it to use on any other TR really isn't worth the money because the turbos today are FAR more superior to the GNX turbos.

if your turbo takes a dump you need an original replacement to keep the value of the car, you are right it is only valuable to GNX owners because these turbo is no longer available and it hasnt been for at least 20 yrs, so good luck finding an original replacement if the one you own in your current GNX goes south..
