No trama at all from these posts yet, all of the mind-altering painkillers that I'm on take care of that. I did not intend to infer your GNX speedo was worth $76.88, only that the current SW replacement is selling for that price brand new ( which is a hell of a deal, in my humble opinion). I did state that your GNX Speedo is collectible, but did not state a value for it. Sorry if I was not clear on that point.

But the main question troubling me is: Are you offering the same two year warranty that comes with the $76.88 replacement?
If not,.............. then you are possibly ripping someone off:biggrin:

OK lets go back, it was about 1995 96 or so, Darryl Davis and I looked at a tan or gold T-type for you, think it belonged to Tom R. It had a surge issue, ended up being a turbo center section problem. That was me.
Darryl and I worked as a team for many years at Buick Mark in Cerritos and Boulevard Buick in Long Beach before his death, if I didnt move up here I would have gone in with him at his shop.

Yes I remember that now. That was a weird problem I'll never forget & embarrassed to have to ask for help.Just when you think you have seen it all.These cars will humble you. The waste gate puck wasn't sealing properly because of lousy machine work by the turbo manufacturer, That was the one & only time I ever ran into that. It was working together helping one another out that made Darryl such a special friend & makes me sad to think about it. So I'm sure you know Earl Williams him & I have much the same relationship & also a stand up guy. Lou

I have a question that sort of falls in line with this,...

Im was installing a alky kit on a aftermarket GNX dash cluster car, and noticed the vss wiring harness was cut, and the pigtail was dangling.

How would the vss pick up a signal while using a aftermarket dash speedo?

It has a vdo gauge, and if i can wire it back up to pick up a signal, that would be excellent.

Can you elaborate a little about that? Caspers sells a part that goes inline with the cable, 83.00 and another 80.00 part to make it work.

How does it work? Where does the (optic) eye? go?

I forget how it works, just saw the darned harness laying there, and knew what it "used" to be

Snow you have been around the world & experienced the attitude of other countries towards the U.S. America is what has held this whole together & made it poss. for arrogant countries like France & Canada to be socialists & not have to support any army to defend their own soil.If it wouldn't of been for our tax dollars & blood they would be speaking German right now.
