Gas tank centering question

since I am removing my spare tire well - I wanted to see about centering my gas tank similar to what Schwartz does with their replacement frame. I was wondering if anyone one has done this or has any idea of how this handle the offset filler neck?

I am installing a aluminum gas tank and could just have it reworked to a center inlet but if I can do it an easier way I would love to hear your ideas.

From a half fast fabricator viewpoint, I would think if the top of the tank does not have positioning ridges (flat top), it would be easier to position the tank wherever you want and move the neck VS. trying to bend a new neck and fit it around the body.

But then again, sometimes i do things the hard way to make it look like it came from the factory that way when no one can see it but me.
