Please Help! I need one for my 84 GN. Does any body know a part # or a part # from a dif car that uses the same canister? Thanks!

They interchange with other cars/years to some degree. Problem is, new ones aren't being sold anymore.

discontinued GM service part numbers, 84-87 turbos:
17085935 canister
25526954 solenoid
17075848 canister with solenoid

If you go to a parts store, they'll try to sell you one from the NA motor that doesn't use a solenoid. Presumably you're supposed to run a bit of hose between the canister and the solenoid. So where do you secure the solenoid, pray tell?

You can try to find a used one that isn't contaminated. The charcoal inside should have a clean gray color.

Another option is to saw your canister in half, swap in the charcoal from the parts store canister, and glue it back together.

Here I'd like to use that annoying line, "Hope this helps," but I know it won't much.
