Fuel Pump Readings and Help

Hi I just replaced intake manifold gasket which was fine , But i have been having the car sputter like it wasnt getting fuel rich lean flag, I got car done and took it out to drive and check engine light came on , scanner said O2 sensor, so i replaced still almost backfiring sound when giving gas but would then go, Well the other day started fine pulled out then cut off , Now when i start it i dont hear the fuel pump come on, Relays are good , I went back to 3 wire connector to fuel tank and pump ,reads 8.17 coming from car. is this normal and do i need a fuel pump what is best way to check what is reading comin from car , thanks a bunch mike

There is normally a 1 volt difference from front to back. Time to
hotwire.

Does it still have the stock fuel pump? If so, should replace that in addition to running a hotwire setup. If it runs, the fuel pump is coming on, so it can't be totally shot. (Mine is an upgrade from Postons, don't know the actual model, and I can't hear it, either)
