Fuel Pump Problem

On my 87 GN when I go to start it it takes a few seconds before it starts up. Now if I put 12v to the gray wire on the driver side of the car I believe its to fuel pump test wire, the car starts instantly. It doesnt even sound like the starter makes a complete turn and it starts. Any input would be bad ass. Thanks in advance.

BTW its the wire circled in blue is the one im talking about.

Whats the problem you want to solve? All GN's take a while to start.

If I put power to that wire at the same time I turn the key the car starts like a brand new one. It starts instantly.

If I just start it normally it takes it a few rotations to start.

Im just curious of why this is.
