I am going to replace the fuel pump in my GN. I have ordered a Walbro pump. My question is do these pumps still use the "sock" like the stock ones do ? Thanks

My 3 year old kit from Ramchargers had a sock in it.

Just for reference, I know it doesn't help much.

Perhaps the parts stores carry these?

A new one is a very good idea.

I'm about to buy a new pump, also, and have noticed a disclaimer about some modifications required. What kind of mod's are required to replace the stocker with a new Walbro?

Thanks,
David

I'm pretty sure the GM sock won't fit the walbro, its too big. You might want to call Ramchargers and let them know your kit didn't have a sock in it.

Mods. are usually a small hose in place of the factory pulsator.

Also many cut out the swaged down piece of metal pipe for the pump feed line. The new hose supplied in a complete kit, such as Ramchargers and I think the Racetronix kit should be used.

Not too hard of a job if you take your time and follow the instructions. :)
