fuel economy program

With gas prices at an all time high, I thought possibly one of our great tuners could come up with a program similar to that of chrysler or gm that could shut cylinders down to improve gas mileage when at cruising speed. Whether by means of a chip, 8 position thumb wheel, or through the use of a fast/dfi type system. Just an idea I thought I would put out there, may or maynot be possible, sure hope one of our great members could figure something like that out, because I know I am not the only one trying to get better gas mileage.

I do not think shutting down cylinders is an option with the current set up but our chips have "lean highway cruise" that works quite well
