Front sway bar mounting

Yesterday I installed a Camaro Z28 front sway bar on my 87 GN along with a 1 inch diameter Hotchkis rear sway bar. I really like the handling on the street. When mounting the front one to the frame it felt like one of the screws into the frame for the bar mount clip began to strip out. What is the best way to fix a stripped thread in the frame?

Stripped Out

I had mine strip out so i welded them shut and retapped them. Installed the swaybar back on...

Like Grumpy said.........Use a nut on the top side. There are access holes in the frame that you can reach. A better way is to weld two nuts to a small 1/8" thick plate and slide the whole assembly inside the frame and now you don't need to use a wrench on the nut. If you need one I can make it for you. I guess that's just another part I should make and post pics of so someone else will make and sell it.;) Sounds like a good part for HRParts? Gbody? Anyone?......Bueller??:)
